(1874–1951); the sheet music near the
center of this collage is the last page
of the study score of Schoenberg’s
Chamber Symphony no. 1 for 15 solo
instruments, op. 9 (1906).

work is from Mozart’s Eine kleine
deutsche Kantate (k. 619). Music from
the same composition is also used in

collage is adapted from visible lyrics
in the cantata: “dann netzen
Freudenzähren nur die Wangen” (then
only tears of joy will wet my cheeks).
