The title of this collage refers to Igor
Stravinsky’s Le sacre du printemps.
Attached to the verso of the collage is a
page torn from an advertisement for
the Hawkes Pocket Scores edition of
Stravinsky’s composition, from which
the fragment of sheet music is taken.
The dedication inscribed on the recto is
to Heidi and Claus Colsman-Freyberger,
who worked for Motherwell at the time.
