and close working relationship would
develop after 1974, when Tyler opened
his own print studio, Tyler Graphics
Ltd., in Bedford, New York, just a few
miles away from Motherwell’s
Greenwich studio. Around this time,
Tyler began to supervise the production
of lithographic facsimiles of a number
of the labels that Motherwell regularly
used in his collages.
