1986. He then changed the title from
Guardian No. 8 to The Figure “4” No. 8,
as he did with other works from the
Guardian series; see the Comments for
Guardian No. 1 (c170), and for The
Figure “4” No. 2 (c742). But he did not
make any physical changes to this work,
as he did with the others.
