comments
This painting appears to be a variation
on the compositional structure of
two other untitled works of the same
size (p25 and p26). It is inscribed on
the verso to the artist’s stepsister Ann
Rosener and her husband, the art
dealer Frank Perls. The 1951 date on
the verso refers to the date of the dedication, not to the date when the work
was executed.
